Anger is only a form of protection from feeling certain emotions and is ruled by the ego. The ego’s soul purpose is to keep us from the truth. Underneath anger is fear and underneath fear is the truth. When we gain enough courage to face our fear we discover the truth. When we discover the truth we release the anger.
What are some of the most popular emotions that anger protects us from? Hurt, loneliness, abandonment, feeling scared, being wrong, not good enough, unworthiness, powerlessness, hopelessness and rejection.
These emotions can be caused by past trauma. There are many different forms of trauma, some mild cases and some extreme cases. No matter the severity of the trauma, the emotion that it makes us feel can get stuck in our nervous system and belief system creating both biological and psychological effects. We then begin to operate differently and develop coping skills including unhealthy behaviors and coping methods. Unfortunately, the longer the trauma is left unresolved the more problems it can create in our lives and most of us don’t even know what we can do to begin the healing process.
So how can we heal it? There are many alternative holistic, spiritual and shamanic methods to find resolution and ultimately heal the trauma from its origin.
Rebekah has developed a four step technique that may help release any stuck emotions called ERT (Emotional ReleaseTechnique). This technique is based on the idea that we are our own healers and can heal ourselves.
